Frequently Asked Questions!
Q: Can you special order an item for me?
A: Absolutely! I'm always happy to try my best at sourcing items for my customers that I don't currently carry. This might result in a great new item for the store or perhaps a special order just for you! Depending on the item, I may require a deposit.

Q: Do you sell wholesale? I have a tax ID number. How can I save money?
A: I don't sell wholesale where we would get tax ID numbers involved. However, I'm happy to work out discounts for those looking to buy in bulk! The larger the volume the more we can work together to save you some money. I've worked with many customers getting them better prices on larger gram bags of seed beads as well as factory packs of crystal beads and stones with savings sometimes up to 50%! (deposits will apply) Please reach out if you'd like to chat more about it!
Q: What is your return policy?
A1: Local purchases: You have 7 days to return your purchase. Item(s) must be unused, in original packaging, and in like-new condition. You will be given a refund for items that meet this criteria. However, please note: continued refunds on beads / beading supplies to the same person may begin to incur re-stocking fees if this practice seems to be habitual. Please purchase with care.
A2: Online (Etsy) purchases: You have 7 days from the point where your package is marked as "Delivered" by The USPS to initiate a return. Just reach out and let's chat about it! The item(s) must be unused, in original packaging, and in like-new condition. The buyer is responsible for return shipping and the refund will not include the original cost of shipping. The refund will be processed once the package is received and inspected for quality. I am not responsible for packages lost in the mail on their way back to me. Again, please note: Continued refunds on beads / beading supplies to the same person may begin to incur re-stocking fees if this practice seems to be habitual. It can become costly (time-wise) to have to re-stock many items time and time again. Thanks for understanding. :-)

Q: Do your Etsy shop and retail location both have all of the same items?
A: Eventually, yes, but not quite yet. Currently I have items in my Etsy shop that aren't in my retail location yet and visa versa. If you're local and you see items in my Etsy shop that you want to purchase, feel free to let me know and I can refund the shipping charge if you'd like to pick-up at the shop! The long-term plan is that eventually the two shopping venues will have very similar selections of items, but realistically my retail shop will eventually have more simply because some items are easier to sell in person.

Q: I'm local (or visiting in the area) and want to visit Bead Chroma, but the hours don't work for me. Can I book an appointment to come shop?
A: Yes! You certainly can. Reach out to me ahead of time to schedule by-appointment shopping. (Even classes can be held outside of regular store hours.) I only live down the street (literally) and as long as I don't have something else going on, I'll likely be able to pop back over to the shop to accommodate you!

Q: Is your shop "kid-friendly?"
A: Everyone is welcome here - and I love the enthusiasm that kiddos and young people bring to this creative space!! But please, if you have very little ones with sticky fingers (both figuratively and literally) please watch them closely or, better yet, personally guide them around the store by hand. There are many small loose beads and baubles that would be in arm's reach of them and depending on age, these could be choking hazards! Additionally, it's a bummer to have to pick up a bunch of beads off my floor - which is sometimes the case even after some of the grown-ups leave! :-)

Q: Is your shop "pet-friendly?"
A: No. You'll need to leave your beloved furry friends at home. There could inevitably be beads on the floor that wouldn't be ok for your pet to ingest, or even a random staple that could hurt your pup's paws. Additionally, I want to make sure that those shoppers or beady students with allergies are not bothered by sharing a space with an animal they may have a sensitivity to. Lastly, some people are simply scared of dogs - and I don't want anyone here to ever be uncomfortable. (I have 3 dogs myself, so I get it, in a perfect world we could take them everywhere!) Note: Bead Chroma welcomes all behaviorally trained / vested service dogs who support those in the community with disabilities in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Q: Is your shop handicapped accessible?
A: Mostly, yes. Prior to opening my store (June 1st, 2024), I worked with my landlords to have wheelchair ramps installed and handicapped spaces designated for parking. The restroom here at Bead Chroma is also quite spacious and should allow for a wheelchair to enter without issue. I also try my best to make sure that someone in a wheelchair would be able to maneuver around my shop with little to no assistance. There are two doors to enter when you arrive at Bead Chroma, neither one of them is electronic - but please call ahead (or when you arrive), and I'll be happy to open the doors and welcome you inside!
